Artist Trading Cards

Artist Trading cards

Creativity comes in many forms and sizes. One of my favorite past times is to work on ATCs or Artist Trading Cards.

The Artist Trading Card Workshop by Bernie Berlin is an excellent book to get you started, but let me warn you…ATCs are extremely addictive.

ATCs measure 3.5 inches by 2 inches…that is their standard size. They are made to be traded with other artists or to be a part of your collection. ATCs are never sold! So making ATCs is like doing art for art’s sake. Joining a group and trading with other artists is also a great way to learn new techniques and make new friends with the same interests.

You can doodle on your ATCs or make a collage, you can paint them or embellish them with fabric. The sky is the limit. Here are a few examples of what I have made.
